Employment Information

We're a leading e-commerce platform, powering millions of online stores, including our own at woo.com. In fact, Woo powers one in five online stores, including the Burning Man Marketplace, Bjork’s official store, and the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team’s official store. Built on WordPress, WooCommerce enables anyone, anywhere, to sell anything. We collaborate with global tech giants like Stripe, PayPal, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Klaviyo, and others, integrating their services to equip businesses with all the tools needed to manage and expand their online stores.

As part of Automattic, Woo operates as a fully distributed company without physical offices. The flexibility and autonomy of remote work are central to our culture—we offer benefits and resources to support your growth while you work from anywhere in the world. Despite our large reach, we maintain a small company feel, meaning everyone has the chance to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of the store owners who depend on Woo daily.

About the Role:

The goal of this role is to meet the full range of our customers' e-commerce needs and expand WooCommerce's influence and revenue through strategic partnerships. As Partner Marketing Manager, you'll act as the link between our technology partners, business development, marketing, and the broader Woo team.

In this role, you'll oversee how these partners are promoted to WooCommerce users through a blend of owned, partner, and external channels. You'll work directly with top-tier partners to build relationships, set and achieve mutual growth goals, and collaborate on new co-marketing initiatives. You'll manage and execute these initiatives, both independently and with support from creative and channel experts within the marketing team.

Despite our large presence, we maintain a small company environment, allowing everyone the chance to make a meaningful, lasting impact while supporting the store owners who rely on WooCommerce every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage partner marketing programs and campaigns aligned with Woo’s objectives, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Build strong relationships with partners, fostering collaboration.
  • Set the right strategies and goals in consultation with partners.
  • Manage projects by coordinating with our channel specialists.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing data-driven reports to stakeholders.
  • Work with our business development team to negotiate marketing contracts and MDFs with partners, showcasing our value.
  • Actively seek out opportunities for reciprocal marketing with our partners.
  • Maintain a big-picture perspective to ensure campaigns are customer-centric and aligned with Automattic’s broader goals.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in digital and channel marketing for small and medium businesses, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce.
  • Experience working directly with channel partners or clients to develop and execute multi-channel digital marketing strategies.
  • A results-driven, analytical approach to marketing.
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing channels and analytics, including email marketing, display advertising, paid search, and content marketing.
  • Bonus if you have hands-on experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, or another CMS or e-commerce platform.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, balancing strategy and execution.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to motivate teams across different functions.
  • Enjoy bringing order to chaos.
  • Inspired by the Automattic creed.

Salary Range:

$80,000-$185,000 USD - Please note that salaries are global, regardless of location, and are paid in local currency.
