We are seeking a Product Design Manager to oversee our client reporting and billing offerings. Our current products empower wealth managers to create fully customized, branded reports, adjust fee structures based on portfolio specifics, and streamline client engagement processes. This allows wealth managers to deliver superior, personalized financial advice to their clients, even with the most complex portfolios, fostering long-lasting, trusted relationships.

In this role, you will lead a team of product designers, guiding the design evolution of our top-tier products. You'll collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to enhance user experiences through intuitive, scalable workflows, advanced permission features, and the integration of our modern design system, the Addepar Design Language.

What You’ll Do

• Provide design vision and thought leadership for Addepar’s reporting and billing products, informed by user research and data. Advocate for our clients.
• Partner with product management, engineering leads, and other internal stakeholders to align on goals, strategies, solutions, development processes, and design outputs, driving business success.
• Prioritize and manage design tasks across various projects, clearly communicating these priorities to your team. Take ownership.
• Build and lead a diverse team of product designers who consistently deliver high-quality work.
• Mentor and empower your design team to achieve their best, offering regular constructive feedback and fostering growth through learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with the design system team and design leads across Addepar's platform to ensure a seamless, end-to-end client experience that aligns with our brand.
• Contribute to strategic design initiatives, working with other design leads to refine and scale existing design patterns, rituals, and tools, and cultivate a culture of design excellence.
• Seek and incorporate feedback from peers, team members, collaborators, and cross-functional leadership.

Who You Are

• Over 7 years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, or UX Design.
• At least 1 year of experience in leading and managing a team.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong user-centered design practices, product thinking, and design fundamentals.
• Proven success in leading design and development teams through successful product launches and ongoing improvements.
• Experience designing web SaaS products for diverse user groups, from small businesses to large enterprises.
• A passion for building a motivated, impactful design team.
• A passion for systematic, modularized design solutions and practical problem-solving.
• Ability to think strategically and plan for long-term product transformation.
• Exceptional skills in communication, presentations, collaboration, and partnership building.
• Proficiency in Figma, our preferred design and prototyping tool.
