ABOUT YOU

As a Senior Associate in Paid Search at DEPT®, you will become an expert in executing and optimizing campaigns, mastering best practices, and expanding your skill set. You’ll leverage your expertise in campaign creation, daily monitoring, reporting, and bidding, all while continuously learning and taking ownership of client success. This role is designed to propel you to excel in SEM, audience strategy, and time management, ultimately shaping you into a paid search powerhouse.

PROFICIENCY EXPECTATIONS

Senior Associates should have a foundational understanding of paid search execution, analytics, and reporting, including:

Excel and Reporting Proficiency:

  • Utilize basic and advanced Excel functions (e.g., concatenation, pivot tables) with minimal supervision.
  • Apply sorting, filters, VLOOKUP, concatenate, pivot tables, text to columns, and conditional formatting efficiently.

Core Paid Search Proficiency:

  • Campaign Creation: Develop strategies for campaign structure, keyword targeting, audience segmentation, and ad settings using tools like SpyFu, MOAT, and Keyword Planner.
  • Daily Monitoring: Recognize performance trends and make necessary adjustments. Use tools like Qontrol for automated monitoring and alert setup.
  • Report Writing: Analyze performance, explain fluctuations, and draft client-facing reports for Account Managers.
  • Bid Adjustments: Understand and apply various bidding strategies, from smart bidding to manual adjustments.
  • Pixel Management: Create and manage pixels, tracking, remarketing, and list creation. Delegate tasks where appropriate.

You’ll also attend search-specific training to continuously expand your knowledge and skills and ensure error-free work, mentoring junior team members as needed.

GROWTH EXPECTATIONS

As you grow in this role, you will:

  • Monitor and respond to daily account performance effectively.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive campaign strategies, including keyword selection, audience targeting, and ad settings to achieve client goals.
  • Gain a deep understanding of audience strategies such as remarketing and persona development.
  • Consistently meet project deadlines and manage your workload independently, prioritizing tasks based on impact and urgency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in paid search (Google Ads essential, Bing Ads & SA360 a plus), with comfort in budgeting, bidding, and testing methodologies.
  • A strong desire to quickly learn and master paid search strategy.
  • Proficient in analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
  • Highly independent, curious, and eager to expand your skills and responsibilities.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $55,000-$80,000, depending on experience, expertise, and impact. Flexibility is part of our culture.
