About the Role

The Enterprise Systems Engineering team at Twitch is responsible for developing and maintaining services and integrations that manage employee identity and boost productivity. We are seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join this team. You'll collaborate with peers to support and enhance Twitch's internal systems, including Okta, Google Workspace, ServiceNow, Slack, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, and the tools that connect them. Using AWS infrastructure, you'll integrate these systems or provide self-service tools to improve employee productivity. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Enterprise Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Build AWS-based solutions using CDK to support internal systems.
  • Develop data integrations between applications.
  • Assist with the maintenance and operation of essential third-party infrastructure like Atlassian Jira/Confluence and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Manage configurations for enterprise applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and workflows critical to infrastructure and tooling.
  • Address operational issues and requests from internal customers.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure high availability and quick incident response.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of programming experience in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
  • 1+ years of experience with various AWS services and products.
  • Experience automating administrative and configuration tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host levels.
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure as code concepts.
  • Interest in building, maintaining, and supporting high-scale, business-critical systems in a cloud environment.
