About the Team

Our team of Product Managers and UX Designers is focused on maximizing the value delivered to customers through the Subsplash platform. This platform includes features like Media, Giving, Events, People, Apps, and Websites, which our clients use to create engaging experiences for their end-users. As a content platform, we face unique challenges that require us to consider both client and end-user experiences in our designs, planning, and strategy. We emphasize empathy for our customers and their users, working to identify their challenges and deliver high-value, elegantly simple solutions. We strive to combat complexity, aiming to create thoughtful, well-crafted experiences that effectively address these problems.

About the Role

As a UX Designer II at Subsplash, you’ll have a unique chance to help millions of people engage more deeply with their churches through your creative problem-solving skills. This role is perfect for someone excited about tackling real user problems through an iterative design approach. You'll be responsible for creating compelling user experiences that help people connect with their church while also enabling our clients to manage their content effectively.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and the product development process.
  • Contribute to and help shape our internal design system.
  • Take ownership of all design aspects of a project from conception through to production.

Your Priorities

  • Design and prototype elegant solutions for mobile and web applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers on product strategy and definition.
  • Identify user needs, create prototypes, test ideas with UX researchers, and refine designs based on data and user feedback.
  • Document detailed interaction models and UI specifications.
  • Work with other designers to maintain consistency and coherence across Subsplash products.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects from concept to completion.
  • Advocate for best UX practices among designers, engineers, and product managers.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant UX design experience.
  • BA in Interaction Design, Information Design, Visual Design, HCI, or a related field.
  • Expertise in creating usable and compelling experiences through a user-centered design process.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end product design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, design patterns, and visual design.
  • Strong system-thinking skills with the ability to contribute to and maintain a pattern library to enhance quality and efficiency across all products.
  • A belief in the value of feedback, actively seeking and providing it to continuously improve the quality of the experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating expert use of typography, color, imagery, grid systems, and well-crafted animations/transitions.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a desire to lead.
  • A deep appreciation for clean and aesthetically pleasing designs.
  • A portfolio that showcases sound product thinking through navigation, user flows, interaction design, and information architecture.

Compensation

The total compensation (base salary + bonus) for this role is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year.

Location

Subsplash operates in 24 states across the U.S.! While we'd love to have employees in as many states and countries as we have clients, hiring is currently limited to states where we already operate. Therefore, this role is only available remotely if you reside in one of the following states:

AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IA, KS, MO, MI, NC, NM, OK, OH, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WY.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not reside in one of these states.
